Small children need support to sit balanced and upright. The Svan Chair was designed so that the seat space provides optimal support for small children as fthey are developing upper body strength. This was accomplished through two unique design factors - a seat that can be easily adjusted in and out and a safety guard that can be fitted close to the child. Older children up to four years of age also can use the safety guard, which provides added safety for more active children. The safety guard is designed to easily slide in and out to make lifting the child in and out of the chair simple and painless.

The detachable tray enables the child to be seated anywhere to eat or play. The tray's lip keeps food and activities within reach, while the flat back edge of the tray makes it easy to clean. The tray easily snaps on and off and can be stored hanging off the safety guard. The Svan chair provides endless flexibility: it can be used on its own from ages 18 months and up, or with the infant kit for babies 6 months and up.
